And when ye trust in Him, ye are sure–and need never be afraid of the material things. For, does He not feed the birds of the air? Does He not give the color to the lily, the incense to the violet? How much more is that as may be in His very presence, if ye apply self to become worthy of acceptance in His home.

Turning Toward Love
Humble yourself that you may bring to the consciousness of others that love that is so near that only those who have turned their face the other way do not see or comprehend.
Based on Edgar Cayce reading 1401 -1
A shepherd had lost a sheep. Only one sheep from a flock of a hundred; yet the shepherd left the ninety-nine and went looking for the one stray. He looked until he saw, caught among the thorn bushes, that one frightened lamb.
This was Matthew's story. Matthew remembered his days as a proud tax collector when he lorded his power over his countrymen. Then he remembered those lonely nights when he sensed something was missing, but he was too afraid to tell anyone. So he used his pride-filled power even more forcefully to cover his fear and loneliness.
On the day when this storyteller, Jesus, walked across the courtyard to where Matthew was sitting, Matthew turned his head away and tried not to look Then Jesus spoke only a few words, "Matthew, follow Me."
The words lifted Matthew's pride from his soul. The words brought Matthew back into the arms of the loving shepherd and into the humble service of spreading His love to others.
APPLICATION: Where in your life is pride separating you from others? Turn to the love of the One who can open your life to love.
