Losing Your Shirt
Each soul finds as it analyzes its relationships to the economic situations - life and its problems are not mere chance but the opportunity to meet self and to magnify the love which is the experience of those who seek to know God’s will.
Based on Edgar Cayce reading 1102-5
After what had happened this past week, Jane was very thankful that she believed in reincarnation.
She had gotten involved in a business deal that really looked good at first. Prices were holding up, and it looked as if she were going to make a nice profit. Then suddenly overnight something happened. Prices fell, and she ended up losing several thousand dollars.
As she reflected on this incident, she looked at her recently acquired interest in metaphysics and reincarnation. One of the ideas that intrigued her was that you don't get in more trouble than you deserve. If something does happen, get through the karma and get rid of it. While it's happening, don't concentrate so much on the negative side of getting what you deserve, but try to respond in ways that are building what you want to have happen in the future.
While she was watching her money slip away, this wasn't easy. She wanted to blame other people. She wanted to file lawsuits. However, she realized she had no one to blame but herself and a sudden price change that no one had expected.
She managed to control the vindictive impulses, learn what she could from the incident, and maintain positive attitudes about her experience and her future.
